Privacy policy
This page lists every third party this build can load, what it stores, and how to switch it off. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and Adsterra load on the first page view; pressing Reject stops them and is remembered for 180 days. YouTube stays as a still image until you press play.
I read the built HTML and the vendor snippets before writing this. The IDs below are the ones in the source: GA4 G-XKN6MQQP50, Clarity z4miuke69x, Adsterra publisher 3403020 (website 6156481, Native Banner 31961935, Social Bar 31961936).
Default loading and your choice
If this browser has no stored choice, the site treats you as having granted analytics, session replay, and advertising and loads all three on the first page view. The banner is a notice with two buttons, not a gate: Accept keeps the choice, Reject turns the scripts off and writes the refusal to localStorage under the key aethus_consent as JSON {choice:"rejected", exp:<timestamp>} for 180 days. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner so you can change your mind.
Reject disables GA4 measurement, sends a denied Consent Mode update, and reloads this page to end running analytics, replay, advertising, and video code. On later pages the stored refusal prevents all three vendor loaders from being requested. Cookies that a vendor already set before you pressed Reject stay in your browser until they expire or you clear them; Reject cannot delete them retroactively. If the browser exposes navigator.globalPrivacyControl, the site records rejected on the first visit and does not inject the scripts. We do not treat a Do Not Track header as a separate signal because browsers retired DNT.
The preference record remembers your choice. Default loading happens before an affirmative Accept click; using this page does not change that fact. Cookie settings lets you reject or change the preference at any time.
Google Analytics 4
GA4 is loaded through the gtag.js loader on www.googletagmanager.com, with collection requests to www.google-analytics.com, and configured with the measurement ID G-XKN6MQQP50. It records page URLs, referrers, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser details, and interactions such as scrolls and outbound clicks. We use it to count page views and see which guides are read; we do not use it to identify you.
GA4 uses _ga and _ga_XKN6MQQP50 for analytics identifiers. Google controls their expiration, and cookie settings can vary. We have not independently verified this property’s server-side event retention, so no retention period is claimed here. GA4 Consent Mode starts with analytics_storage granted and the Google ad signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) denied, because this site does not run Google Ads. Reject sends a consent update that denies analytics_storage as well.
You can opt out of GA4 with Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, block the script with an extension, or press Reject here. Google's policy is https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Microsoft Clarity
Clarity is loaded from https://www.clarity.ms/tag/z4miuke69x for project z4miuke69x. It records heatmaps and session replays: clicks, mouse movement, scrolling, taps, page URLs, browser and device details, and the layout of the page. Form inputs are masked by Clarity by default, and we do not ask you to type personal data into this site.
Microsoft documents Clarity identifiers including _clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID, ANONCHK, and SM. Not every identifier is set in every browser. Microsoft controls cookie expiry and recording retention; this site has not independently verified the project retention settings. The loader uses www.clarity.ms and scripts.clarity.ms; event collection uses regional subdomains of clarity.ms (including a, b, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, n, o, q, r, s, t, u, and y observed during this review).
Reject stops the tag from being created on the next page view. To remove cookies already set, clear site data for aethus.net and clarity.ms, or use Microsoft's privacy dashboard at https://account.microsoft.com/privacy. Microsoft's policy is https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
Adsterra advertising
Adsterra is loaded from the placement URLs supplied by the Adsterra dashboard, hosted on bicea.org. This build uses two placements: Native Banner unit 31961935 (in-page, above the footer) and Social Bar unit 31961936 (a fixed bar at the bottom of the viewport). Publisher ID is 3403020, website ID is 6156481, and adult ads are switched off in the Adsterra panel. We do not run Popunder, Banner, or Smartlink placements on this site.
Adsterra and its ad-serving partners may set cookies and similar identifiers on bicea.org and on their own domains, and may read your IP address, user agent, page URL, and approximate location to choose and measure an ad. Those cookies are set by Adsterra, not by aethus.net, so their names and lifetimes are controlled by Adsterra and can change; we cannot read them from this page. Adsterra controls campaign retention; we have no verified retention period to publish. In the 2026-10-28 browser audit, its delivery chain also requested static.nresystems.com, cdn.show-creative1.com, cdn.show-sb.com, and cdn.cloudpiko.com. These advertising delivery hosts load by default with the placements, and Reject stops their loaders too; destination hosts may change with the ad campaign. The Social Bar uses an aethus.net localStorage key, aethus_adsterra_closed, to remember that you closed it: JSON {closed:true, exp:<timestamp>}, 180 days. That key is a local preference and is not sent to Adsterra.
You can turn off personalized advertising at https://adsterra.com/opt-out/, https://www.youronlinechoices.com, https://optout.aboutads.info, or https://optout.networkadvertising.org. Pressing Reject here removes the placements and remembers the refusal. Adsterra's policy is https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/.
YouTube
A video page shows a still image and a Play button. Pressing Play creates an iframe to the selected video’s youtube-nocookie.com embed path; until then no YouTube frame is created. Once the frame loads, Google receives your IP address and the page you came from. The privacy-enhanced player can use storage and additional Google delivery hosts such as googlevideo.com, ytimg.com, and gstatic.com after playback starts; its storage depends on browser and player behavior. We do not assert that standard youtube.com cookies are always set by youtube-nocookie.com. We do not receive a copy of those cookies.
If your stored choice is rejected, Play does not create the frame and shows a short notice instead; Cookie settings lets you change the choice. Google's policy is https://policies.google.com/privacy and its video terms are https://www.youtube.com/t/terms.
What is stored on your device
The site itself writes only two localStorage keys. Everything else in this list is written by the vendor named next to it, on its own domain or through its script.
- aethus_consent (localStorage, 180 days): JSON with choice ("granted" or "rejected") and exp (timestamp). Set by this site to remember the banner choice.
- aethus_adsterra_closed (localStorage, 180 days): JSON with closed (true) and exp. Set when you close the Adsterra Social Bar so it does not return on the next page view.
- GA4: _ga and _ga_XKN6MQQP50. Set by Google Analytics 4 when analytics storage is granted; expiration is controlled by Google and property settings.
- Clarity: _clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID, ANONCHK, SM may be used as documented by Microsoft. Cookie presence and expiration vary; not all were observed in every request.
- Adsterra: cookies and identifiers on bicea.org and partner ad domains, with names and lifetimes set by Adsterra. Not readable from aethus.net.
- YouTube: the privacy-enhanced player and its storage are requested only after you press Play. Reject disables the player.
Messages sent to our contact address
Email sent to [email protected] is received through Cloudflare Email Routing and passed to our mail-hub Worker for mailbox processing. Your sender address, subject, message body, attachments and delivery metadata are processed to receive and reply to your request. Cloudflare is the email routing provider. We have not verified a fixed mailbox retention period and do not claim one; contact us to request deletion of your message.
Your rights and contact
You can ask for access, correction, or deletion of a message you sent us, and you can withdraw consent at any time with Reject or Cookie settings. Write to [email protected]. The aethus_consent and aethus_adsterra_closed keys are deleted by clearing localStorage for this origin; vendor cookies are cleared in the browser's site-data controls. We do not run an account system and we do not sell personal data.
If you are in the EEA or UK you may complain to your data protection authority. Our host keeps standard server logs for security and delivery; those logs are described by the host's own policy. This page changes by edit and a new "Last checked" date, and material changes are noted on the updates page when they affect the guide.
Questions
Do analytics and ads load before I click Accept?
Yes. With no stored choice the site treats you as granted and loads GA4, Clarity, and Adsterra on the first page view, and the banner tells you so. Press Reject to turn them off; the refusal is stored in aethus_consent for 180 days.
Do you set advertising cookies?
Adsterra sets cookies and identifiers on bicea.org and its partner domains; aethus.net itself sets only the two localStorage keys listed above. Google and Microsoft set their own cookies for GA4 and Clarity. Reject stops new scripts, and Cookie settings lets you change the choice.
How long is the consent choice kept?
180 days in localStorage under aethus_consent, or until you clear site data or change it with Cookie settings.
How do I turn off personalized ads?
Use https://adsterra.com/opt-out/, https://www.youronlinechoices.com, https://optout.aboutads.info, or Google Ad Settings at https://adssettings.google.com. Pressing Reject on this site stops the Adsterra placements entirely.
